PLAY ME A LOVE SONG PART 11

After a week, Jeongguk and Taehyung were already off to Tokyo.

To Taehyung's surprise, Jeongguk handed him everything he needed, earphones, water, pillow. All of which he never asked Jeongguk.
Taehyung was so busy taping his episodes that he hardly texted Justin who was extremely busy too. Their rooms were next to each other. Jeongguk walked Taehyung first, "dinner later?" Taehyung just nodded.
Taehyung put his bag and lay on the bed, for two nights with Jeongguk. Do they need to talk? Do they need to get along? Can he just stay in the room? Taehyung reached for his bag to check what time they'll fly back when he realized that his plane ticket was with Jeongguk.
He grabbed his room card and decided to ask Jeongguk for his plane ticket. He knocked. Jeongguk opened the door with an unbuttoned shirt, one hand leaning against the door frame and one on his back, "Hi Tae, what's up?"
Taehyung's eyes widened. His heart pounding. His blood rushing. His ears ringing. His mouth starting to drool and all he muttered was, "oh, I am sorry for disturbing you," turning around immediately to run to his room.
Jeongguk was genuinely amused for he was preparing to go to the shower when he opened the door he almost forgot that he sent Taehyung a picture of his tattoos as Justin. He smirked at Taehyung's flushed cheeks. He saw his eyes travel from his neck to his torso.
When Taehyung turned around and walked away, he immediately grabbed a hoodie from his bag. He was going to shower later. He took his key card and exited his room. He knocked, "Tae?" Taehyung was startled as he was leaning his head back against the door he just shut.
"Yes?" He responded meekly, filled with embarrassment. "Hey, Tae, open the door please?" Jeongguk said gently as he stepped nearer the door knowing what Taehyung is doing right now. Taehyung took a deep breath, there was no escaping this.
He took a deep breath. "You can do this Kim Taehyung." He opened the door slowly, with Jeongguk leaning against the door frame. Phew. He thought for Jeongguk was wearing a long-sleeved shirt. "Hey Tae, why did you run away?" Jeongguk said gazing teasingly, stepping forward.
"Jeongguk," Taehyung said pushing Jeongguk gently in his chest. Taehyung gulped. His chest is very muscular. "I will stop if you stop walking on eggshells around me." Jeongguk said frankly.
Jeongguk looked at Taehyung's hand on his chest. Taehyung snatched his hand quickly, all now flushed red. "I am sorry if I am nervous, I mean, it has been a long time," Taehyung stated honestly.
Jeongguk's absolutely right. He should stop avoiding him. He should stop running away from his feelings. Jeongguk had nothing but nice and friendly toward him and he deserves to be treated nicely too.
"It's been a long time and you don't know what to say?" Jeongguk asked. Taehyung nodded, biting his lower lip. "I don't know what to say either but we can start somewhere right?" Jeongguk said as he lifted Taehyung's chin to meet his eyes. Jeongguk smiled at him.
Taehyung smiled back, remembering how shy Jeongguk really is. "Yes, you are right." Taehyung nodded. "In all honesty, I clam up when I see you looking at me," Jeongguk looked down at his feet. "Why?" Taehyung asked him. "Have you seen how gorgeous you have become?"
"Oh, shush, don't tell me that Jeonggukie." Taehyung pouted. "Have you seen yourself?" "What? About me?" "Jeongguk, you're hot." Taehyung said instantaneously. He immediately put his hand in his mouth. 'Kim Taehyung, hold your thoughts!' Jeongguk took it as a positive sign.
He took a step forward and looked at Taehyung smiling, "So, you think I am hot?" Taehyung bit his lip. Why does Jeongguk have to be so damn attractive? His heart started racing as Jeongguk stepped forward into his personal space.
Taehyung put his hand on his chest again and looked into Jeongguk's eyes, faces mere inches apart, "Gukkie, you promised." Jeongguk took a deep breath and took a step back, "okay, I know, I promised." Taehyung started catching his breath as he tried to regain his composure.
Taehyung took a step back as well, there was no use running away now. "I was just going to ask you for my plane ticket." Taehyung said, "do you want to come in? I have a few questions about the schedule."
Jeongguk nodded, enthusiastically. His face brightened up. Finally he got an invitation, a good indication of allowing him to step within his personal space. "Of course," Jeongguk said, noticing their rooms were adjoined with a door. "Jeon Jeongguk, stop with your thoughts."
"I wasn't thinking about anything," Jeongguk tried feigning innocence. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," Taehyung said as he took the folder from the bag. Jeongguk just chuckled, "You haven't changed Tae." "And you are still a menace." Taehyung smiled at him sincerely.
"Jeongguk, so we go to Tokyo, then Osaka?" Taehyung asked. "Yes and then we go back to Seoul for a week, then go Singapore, Jakarta," Jeongguk said. "Then go back to Seoul again for a week?" Taehyung asked curiously, "why is that?"
Jeongguk looked at him, "because we have to make sure that the bookstores get their book supply first. They talk to Namjoon who talks about advertising strategy. They play maybe two of your shows and then get the audience feels."
"That's too much work huh?" Taehyung asked. "Yes and no. Your show had been featured all over Southeast Asia now," Jeongguk stated. "It is?" Taehyung looked at him both surprised and amazed.
"Didn't Wooshikssi tell you?" Jeongguk frowned. "He must have told me, I was just not paying attention." Taehyung responded, "I had been very busy the past few months." "Taping?" Jeongguk asked. "Yeah." Taehyung nodded. "I am proud of you, you know?" Jeongguk said honestly.
Taehyung looked Jeongguk, his eyes were full of questions but they both know, sooner rather than later, they have to talk about their personal lives. "Why is that?" "Because you have made a name for yourself while taking care of your dad," Jeongguk responded.
"Oh." Taehyung said as he sat on his bed and leaned at the headboard with Jeongguk sitting at the edge of his bed. "Yeah, I am glad he's better though." Jeongguk added. "Thank you," Taehyung said solemnly. Jeongguk's stomach rumbled which made Taehyung laugh.
"What?" Jeongguk looked at him wildly. "Your stomach hasn't changed either," Taehyung said jokingly. "I have fast metabolism!" Jeongguk exclaimed. "Do you wanna grab something to eat?" Taehyung stood up. "Really?" Jeongguk giving him puppy eyes. "Yes, I'm hungry too!"
It was already 2 pm when they stepped out of the hotel. "Are we walking?" Taehyung asked as they joined the people on the streets. The light spring breeze gently touched their faces when Taehyung turned to Jeongguk. Jeongguk looked back at him and asked, "Tae?"
"Thank you," Taehyung said as he started walking. "What for?" Jeongguk responded. "For remembering..." Taehyung said as he squeezed nearer Jeongguk because of people passing him. Jeongguk stopped walking, he turned to face him amidst the people passing them by.
"I booked the hotel in Shibuya because I know how we dreamed of going when the Cherry Blossoms bloom," Jeongguk said, cupping Taehyung's cheeks gently. "That's why I am thanking you," Taehyung said, holding Jeongguk's hand for the first time.
People bumped into Taehyung making him lunge forward to Jeongguk who just caught him. Their faces were so near that they forgot to breathe. They looked into each other's eyes forgetting their surroundings until someone else bumped into Jeongguk, breaking their trance.
"I guess it's time to go now," Taehyung said, finally releasing his breath. Jeongguk nodded smiling, giddy and happy. Slow and steady wins the race Jeonggukie, he thought as he took Taehyung's hand, guiding him, crossing Shibuya together.
They stepped inside Han no Daidokoro Bettei, a Korean bbq place where they serve Wagyu. Taehyung turned to Jeongguk, so excited that he grabbed his hand and walked inside the restaurant.
Jeongguk just smiled. Savoring this feeling. His hand on his and it was just simply sublime. An inch can be an inch but sometimes it can also be a mile.
The attendant led them to their booth. Both of them sit across one another. Taehyung then wondered about who was going to pay for this. He looked around just looking at how fancy everything is and he is aware too that they had food allowance but this was just expensive.
"Jeonggukie, who's paying for all this?" He asked, looking up from the menu. "I am. I am treating you." Jeongguk said, his attention unfazed by the question. "Oh, but why?" Taehyung asked. Jeongguk looked from the menu, "remember a day at a time?"
"And?" "I promised you I will do anything to win you back. Do you remember that?" "Oh," Taehyung covered his face with the menu, trying to hide his blush. He's both overjoyed and overwhelmed. It's not that he doesn't know what to do, it's more of allowing him to react
how he wanted to. There was still fear and apprehension but how would he know if he would not give Jeongguk the chance he's asking? The waiter approached them and asked, "what is your order?"
Jeongguk chose three meats, Taehyung doing the same. They ordered rice and banchan and before doing so, Jeongguk asked the waiter if they had mild kimchi or spicy ones which made Taehyung smile. "Yes, we do have mild because not all like spicy." "Can we get that, please?"
They ordered soju which made Taehyung nervous. He knows how he is when he gets buzzed but to hell with it. He only lives once right? Jeongguk took charge of the grilling while Taehyung was watching him, amazed because it was as if that time didn't pass.
"So Gukkie, how did you get into publishing?" Taehyung asked. "My awesome personality," he said, trying to conceal his smile. "Really?" Taehyung shook his head as Jeongguk placed the meat in his place. "Tch." Jeongguk made a face which made Taehyung laugh.
"Okay fine!" Jeongguk rolled his eyes which made Taehyung laugh even more, "Namjoon hyung took a chance with me." Jeongguk responded seriously. Taehyung's eyes sparkled, proud of what Jeongguk had become too. "That's great and do you love what you do?" Taehyung asked.
"It has good and bad. You know, I am usually flying, and yeah, it's tough sometimes." Jeongguk paused, hypnotized by the fire from the grill. Taehyung felt the uneasiness so he poured soju into Jeongguk's glass. "A toast?" Taehyung raised his. "Okay," Jeongguk lit up.
Jeongguk cleared his throat, "for the success of your book, safe travels, and second chances." He gazed lovingly into Taehyung's eyes. And surprisingly enough, Taehyung didn't protest because all of what he said were real.
Their meal was delicious. They caught up a little. They left the restaurant. They had good laughs and good food and that was absolutely incomparable.
They just walked and talked about music, food, books, Jeongguk's travels, Beat the Morning Rush, and prepping for a show just to name a few. Their feet walking without any directions led them to the Meguro Sky Garden where Cherry Blossoms are beautifully blooming.
"How pretty!" Taehyung exclaimed as he looked around. "Very pretty indeed," Jeongguk said, his eyes not leaving Taehyung's face. Taehyung turned to him and suddenly looked down blushing. "Hey, Tae, why are you still shy?" Jeongguk asked lifting his chin to meet his eyes.
Taehyung looked at him from under his lashes, "I never had a relationship after you, so, I am not used to it anymore." Jeongguk searched Taehyung's eyes and he saw hope with a tinge of fear and he couldn't blame him.
"I am sorry, Tae, I... have no excuse for what I did," Jeongguk cupped his cheek, "I know it's not easy just to say you forgive me and I will not force you." Taehyung's heart was flooded with gladness but something was still holding him back, he's still afraid.
Taehyung just nodded and said, "Yes, please be patient with me if you meant what you said, you'll wait for me to be ready." "I will," Jeongguk said, holding himself back because he wanted to kiss him and show him that it's still in his heart.
The wind started to blow as grey clouds started rolling in. Jeongguk and Taehyung both looked at the sky. "I guess it's time to walk back?" Taehyung asked. "What are you doing when we get in?" Jeongguk asked as they started walking faster.
"I was thinking of watching something in Netflix." Taehyung answered. "Is it okay if I join you?" Jeongguk asked. Taehyung looked at him quickly and concentrated on walking. There's nothing wrong with it, right?
"Okay," Taehyung said walking faster as it started drizzling. Jeongguk stopped walking, he said yes. Everything is going the way he wanted. He does not want to lose his chance now. He knows what to do more than ever. Taehyung turned around, "Jeonggukie?" "Coming!"
They got back to the hotel right before it started pouring. They were wet but not entirely drenched. But what they wore was seen in both their faces, the smiles were just very bright, and to others, everyone will say that they are nothing but in love.
It was 6 pm when they got back and Jeongguk took a quick shower, excited of what's to come. Taehyung said to swing by around 7:30 and Jeongguk stretched and suddenly sat up. He hasn't messaged DJ V and it has been a long time.
He took his phone. He needs to come clean to DJ V if he wants to win over Kim Taehyung entirely. He started composing a text, hoping he was doing the right thing.
Taehyung just came out of the shower. His head filled with thoughts about Jeongguk. How he cut his meat and cooked it. How he put rice in the bowl and blew it before handing it to him. Everything that Jeongguk did, well, it was how he was. The only difference?
The only difference was that they were older and he's more handsome and muscular. And Taehyung was trying really hard. Harnessing all the willpower he could muster and he thinks he is slowly losing it. His phone buzzed, oh, it's Justin. He almost forgot about him.
He knew a week ago he had been invested to get to know him more most especially with the picture he sent. The muscles, the tattoos. Truth to be told, Justin's delicious but so is Jeongguk. He looked at Justin's response suddenly interested in the call to honesty.
Taehyung's heart started pounding, what if Justin declares his love for him? He has plans to invite him to the show and if he denies him then who would be his guest? He took a deep breath, his phone buzzed becoming very antsy about Justin's response.
Taehyung looked at Justin's message, what advice was he talking about? About moving on? Was he being honest with his feelings toward him? Goosebumps spread throughout Taehyung's body, why is he feeling disappointed with himself for leading Justin on. Then his phone buzzed.
Taehyung smiled because essentially they are in the same boat but he was happy for Justin and himself too because who knew his advice would work when Seokjin hyung's didn't?
And like the DJ V that he is, Justin asked for some advice once again but he is glad that he didn't succumb to temptation. Taehyung snickered, didn't he just advise himself to move on as well?
He shook his head smiling as he typed in his response, what kind of moving on included pining for his first love? Can the term moving on mean that he is just letting go of the pain of the past and looking forward to a promise? A chance?
He put down his phone and smiled. He's happy for Justin. He's hoping he'd get the same kind of happiness too. He's hoping too that he is making the right choices. He looked at the clock on his nightstand, it was almost 7:30.
So he cleaned up his clutter and swallowed nervously. His heart started pounding, anticipating for the doorbell to ring anytime soon. The doorbell rang and when he opened the door, Jeongguk was wearing a leather jacket, droplets of rain on his hair and a dozen of red roses.
"Jeongguk, you didn't have to," Taehyung said as Jeongguk handed him the roses. "Wait," Jeongguk said as he ran out of the room and went to his. Taehyung tried to peek only to see Jeongguk with a tray filled with Kawaii treats.
"Aww, Kookie!" Taehyung exclaimed. "Wait, not yet," Jeongguk said. Taehyung was already feeling very thrilled about what Jeongguk was doing. "You might get hungry later when we watch Netflix so I just got a little of everything." Jeongguk said as he placed more on the table.
"Wow," Taehyung smiled, very delighted with what Jeongguk got him. "Where did you get them?" Taehyung said, gently fiddling with the rose petals, "and when?" "There's a store near the hotel and the flowers from the hotel florist," Jeongguk said.
He was really trying. And Taehyung gathered his marbles, hoping what he's doing is still not rushing. He took a step forward and kissed Jeongguk on the cheek, "Thank you." Jeongguk grinned, he must be doing everything right.
"I love your room!" Jeongguk chuckled. "We have the same room!" Taehyung rolled his eyes. Taehyung comfortably sat on his bed, leaning on the wall with Jeongguk still standing. "What are you doing Gukkie? Sit!" Taehyung ordered him.
Jeongguk sat on the other side of the bed, "what are we watching Tae?" "I am thinking between Alchemy of Souls or Our Beloved Summer," Taehyung answered turning on the TV. "What do you feel watching?" Jeongguk looked deeply into Taehyung's eyes. "Our Beloved Summer?"
"Okay." Jeongguk said. They started watching. Why did they watch it again? Wasn't it like them as well? They were already at episode 4 when Netflix asked them if they wanted to continue watching. Taehyung turned around at the same time as Jeongguk. They looked up...
And the moment their eyes met, electricity passed. Taehyung held his breath as he stared into Jeongguk's lips, those lips that kissed him tens and thousands of times. Jeongguk's heart was racing as he licked his lips. Taehyung's mind was a total mess, unable to think anymore.
Taehyung looked into Jeongguk's eyes. It was sparkling and dreamy and Taehyung's body just tingled all over. Jeongguk tried catching his breath as he saw Taehyung's pupils dilate. Should he? His heart was already pounding in his ears as the surroundings disappear.
"Taehyung?" Jeongguk asked as their heads move forward closer. "Yeah?" "Is this okay? Are we okay if...?" Jeongguk asked, seeking permission. Taehyung just stared into his lips, unable to answer while their heads moved even closer. Taehyung's eyes fluttered.
Jeongguk could feel his face already as he smelled his sweet scent. Jeongguk's heart started pounding. He felt as if he was on a roller coaster ride, slowly reaching the top. Adrenaline. It's slowly surging and Jeongguk doesn't know if he can keep his promise.
"Taehyung?" Jeongguk asked breathlessly. "Yea?" "Will you get mad at me if I break my promise?" Jeonghuk said as his hand automatically cupped Taehyung's cheeks, lips merely centimeters apart. Taehyung held his breath without thinking, the air was suspended in his throat.
Jeongguk saw Taehyung part his lips, ever so lightly. It was parted, slightly tingling. Taehyung's eyelashes fluttered before closing his eyes, "I am breaking my promise too." And Jeongguk's lips finally touched Taehyung's.
Taehyung started melting as Jeongguk's lips touched his with the lightest pressure, then a soft, warm exhale with an imperceptible hum. And the world stopped because for the first time in years, Jeongguk felt right back home. It was slow. It was soft.
It was perfect and Taehyung could not ask for anything more. Jeongguk broke the kiss and looked at Taehyung who was blushing. Taehyung finally released his breath when Jeongguk leaned his forehead against his and lightly kissed his nose. "Hi," Jeongguk said, smiling at him.
Taehyung felt shy as he looked down. His heart was still pounding with excitement because, well, he missed him and his kisses. "Hey," Jeongguk lifted his chin up and stroked his cheek, "Tae..." And Taehyung felt his cheeks reddened.
"Are you mad at me?" Jeongguk asked him gently. Taehyung shook his head, "I..." Jeongguk continued stroking his cheek. "I feel wonderful," Taehyung finally said and Jeongguk smiled widely as he kissed his forehead. Jeongguk gathered Taehyung in his arms, "I missed you."
Taehyung just smiled as he curled himself in his chest. "You are not soft and fuzzy anymore." He said. Jeongguk gently laughed, "what do you mean?" "Look at you all muscular with no ounce of fat in your body!" Taehyung exclaimed, looking up at Jeongguk.
"I worked out when I travel, that's what I do." Jeongguk said. "Oh." Jeongguk then looked deeply into Taehyung' eyes, "Are we okay though? Or do you want to take a step back?" "I don't know yet, I am so confused!" Taehyung said covering his face with his hands.
"Hey, Tae. Talk to me. Don't hide your pretty face from me, please?" Jeongguk asked as he took Taehyung's hand and slowly removed it from his face. "What are you confused about?" "All these feelings, Gukkie. It came rushing back in." Taehyung said, "And I am so overwhelmed."
"I am overwhelmed too, Tae. Like I want to smother you all at once. I want to make up for lost time. Four years were long and dark." Jeongguk said. Taehyung's brows furrowed. "It was not for you." Taehyung sat up and looked at Jeongguk, "Unease my burden?"
Jeongguk knew what was coming and somehow, somewhere, he had to face this. "Tell me how you and Seojoon became a couple?" Taehyung asked, "then maybe it will help me too." Jeongguk looked at Taehyung who was serious yet tender, "okay, if it helps for you to forgive me, I will."
Taehyung then slowly wriggled out of his arms which made Jeongguk pout. Taehyung turned to look at Jeongguk and smiled, "Your muscles are distracting me." Jeongguk laughed, "Is that so?" He said flexing his muscles all the more. "Stop!" Taehyung giggled.
"Okay, okay, I am stopping." Jeongguk said, "are you hungry?" He asked Taehyung who placed a pillow on his thighs and nodded. "What do you want?" Jeongguk said as he stood up and brought the Kawaii treats. "The strawberry!" Taehyung gushed excitedly.
Jeongguk smiled and handed it to him. "Yum!" Taehyung said, eyes smiling. Jeongguk smiled too because this is what he missed with Taehyung. He has this generally happy persona who light up the room everything he walks by.
Jeongguk handed him the fork & the moment he did, Taehyung immediately snatched it from his hand. He took a strawberry, placed it in his mouth & closed his eyes, "this is delicious!" Taehyung said, the look of satisfaction can be seen his face. Taehyung then looked at Jeongguk.
"What dessert are you getting?" He asked as he chewed. "I will grab something later, I am still full," Jeongguk responded. He was hungry though but he does not want to miss the chance to watch Taehyung eat.
Taehyung had the fork in between his lips when he looked at Jeongguk. He knew he was watching him eat as he used to when they were in uni. Taehyung shook his head, looking down, a blushing mess. "Stop it, Gukkie," he said as he toyed with the dessert. "What did I do?"
"You are staring at me," Taehyung said, looking squarely at him. Jeongguk was just smiling, his heart dizzy with happiness. "Eat or we are not talking," Taehyung said. Jeongguk took a snack from opened it, "satisfied?"
"Hmmm," Taehyung said as he placed another forkful of strawberries in his mouth. Taehyung then said, "I remember when we were studying before, you never got anything done because you'd just stare at me." Jeongguk clearly remembers those days and he just loved them.
Jeongguk went back to where he was sitting earlier beside Taehyung on the bed while Taehyung finished his dessert. He placed the plate and fork on the bedside table and took a drink of water. Jeongguk just leaned on the headboard watching Taehyung.
And it was pleasantly unnerving. "At this point, there's no stopping you huh?" Taehyung asked after drinking water and placing it back on the table. Jeongguk just shook his head. "Okay, tell me," Taehyung said as he took his phone and opened his music app.
He connected it earlier to the Bluetooth speaker. He turned off the TV and played music, it was from his slow jams playlist. Taehyung turned to Jeongguk, "how did you and Seojoon get together?" "Are you sure Taehyungie?" Jeongguk asked. "Don't Taehyungie me, spill."
Lauv's Paris in the Rain softly played in the background as Jeongguk took a deep breath as he gathered his thoughts, he closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. What did DJ V say? Be honest and natural. Okay, got it.

"Let's start when you told me you wanted a break and I was lost. We just graduated and I was going to ask you to move in with me and you just told me you needed a break and go away. I felt hopeless, and rejected so I didn't want to hear your explanation anymore." Taehyung closed his eyes & listened to his words & the song in the background. Why didn't he say he needed to go because of his Appa? It would have been different if maybe he had been honest with him. He looked at Jeongguk who was leaning on the side of his temple, facing him. "I was just hurt so I walked out and I was waiting for you to reach out to me, you know, when we fight you were usually relentless and bug the hell out of me, regardless of who made the mistake. I was waiting for that and then you didn't come back." Jeongguk said carefully." Taehyung watched him, and gazed at him tenderly, trying to say that he was willing to listen. "I looked for you one time but you were not in the dorm anymore and you know, I was immature and shallow so I went drinking with Seojoon and the others." Another mellow song started playing. It was You by Regard and Troye Sivan. Taehyung thought how fitting. This playlist must be created for this night. "Well, I was hanging on to Seojoon and he was just being sympathetic and there for me and it became a regular thing." "We became each other's regular habit because you know, we bonded because you left. I think it was the familiarity that drew me in and I have to admit I should have looked for you, but you know, pride got in the way." Jeongguk with a strained smile looked directly at Taehyung. Taehyung just listened, his emotions were slowly surfacing as he listened to Jeongguk. "And to think of it right now, instead of enabling me to cling on to him, he should have communicated with you two. You were best friends but he just took advantage of it." Jeongguk added. The song continued playing and Taehyung chuckled internally at how destiny was choosing the songs randomly in his playlist most especially when Ariana Grande's Boyfriend started playing. Jeongguk chuckled lightly, "this playlist is fitting, don't you think?" Taehyung nodded with his fingers playing with his lower lip, "I was actually just thinking of the same thing." Jeongguk smiled at him then looked at him solemnly, "would you want me to continue?" "Yes, please," Taehyung answered. "Are you okay so far?" Jeongguk asked, his voice filled with concern. "I am okay, Jeonggukie." Taehyung said assuringly. "Okay, so, where was I?" "About Seojoon not being objective?" Taehyung suggested. "Yeah." Jeongguk gave him a small grin. "Here I am grinning while I am talking about my sob story when we were not together." Taehyung sucked his upper lip, controlling the urge to smile. It had been weirdly pleasant. "Seojoon became a routine until we went out and dated and since we were both busy, I think he got bored." Jeongguk suddenly looked at Taehyung. "What I am about to say may make you angry at me, so, please if you could listen until I finish my story." "Six or seven months ago, Seokjin hyung was raving about how this radio program from Daegu was helping people with their love problems." Left and Right by Charlie Puth and Jungkook of BTS started playing. Taehyung leaned forward as Jeongguk suddenly became a little too serious. He held his breath as he listened to his words. "Namjoon suggested for me to call in but my introverted self came over me so I typed a letter instead." Taehyung's eyes widened, "Justin Seagull?" "Yes, and I wrote the letter and never got to listen because I was on one of my business trips until Seokjin and Namjoon finally told me they got together." Jeongguk looked at Taehyung, beseeching for his understanding. And Taehyung's face became serious yet non-judgemental as he still paid attention to Jeongguk. "Okay, so yeah, and then I was going to chat with you about my plans to propose when that same day I caught Seojoon in a liplock with your guys' old friend..." "Hyungsik?" Jeongguk nodded, "I was upset but never angry. Maybe it was pride?" Jeongguk shrugged then continued talking, "so I decided to call in and got hypnotized by your voice not knowing that DJ V was actually you." "Oh." Taehyung was all he could say. "And then there was something with you that continued pulling me in and I just loved talking to you. Like your text, your messages, no matter how short, your voice soothed my heart and I," Jeongguk looked up at Taehyung, "started falling in love with DJ V." Fijii Blue's Affection softly played in the background as Jeongguk explained. "I saw you, of course, during the live broadcast and after so many years, I finally realized what a jerk I must have been to you." Jeongguk looked at Taehyung, his hand moving nearer Taehyung's. "And then I saw you with Hyo-shin and I got ugly jealous and so I sent you the half-body picture." Jeongguk looked down at his fingers. "You have tattoos now?" Taehyung exclaimed. "Tae, I am explaining here, can you focus please?" Jeongguk scolded him. Jeongguk has tattoos now and he was the one in the black buff shirt that had him salivate when he was at Hyo-shin. "Did you do that deliberately?" Taehyung arched an eyebrow. "Yes," Jeongguk sighed loudly, "I did because he was all over you and I didn't want to lose my chance." Jeongguk covered his face with his hands and continued talking, "And I didn't know how to tell you how I felt until earlier after we went out. I was just trying to find the words to tell you the truth because I want to be honest with you and listen to DJ V's advice." Taehyung was quiet, relieved, confused, and happy. Feeling all sorts of emotions. He looked at him and removed his hands from his face. Taehyung smiled at him. Double Take by Dhruv started playing and the lyrics were just overflowing with love and so was his heart. "You were going to propose to Seojoon?" Taehyung looked at him worriedly, "are you still in love with him?" Jeongguk looked at Taehyung whose eyes were slowly brimming with tears. Jeongguk reached out for Taehyung and hugged him. Taehyung wept silently. "No, initially I thought I was going to until he started changing, becoming colder, not even aware of when I was coming back from my business trips." Jeongguk said, rocking Taehyung gently. "Are you sure you want me back, maybe I am Seojoon's rebound?" Taehyung said, his fear slowly surfacing. "Taehyung, baby, listen," Jeongguk said, looking at Taehyung, wiping the tears from his eyes, "you can ask Jin or Namjoon hyung, you were all I talk about." "Even after all these years?" Taehyung asked. "Even after all these years." Jeongguk said, gazing lovingly in his eyes. Taehyung leaned on Jeongguk's chest, inhaling his scent. His scent that he missed. "I always thought that you were going to be the one who got away," Jeongguk said. "How come you didn't follow me?" Taehyung said, sitting straight. "Pride? I didn't know what to say. I was wallowing in self-pity. I had this picture in my mind that I will move in with you." "And then you told me you needed a break and then all of a sudden everything became dismal, I became angry at you without knowing why." Jeongguk said. "I am sorry, I should have told you about my father. I just didn't because I didn't want to burden you with my problems." Both of them shifted in the bed, as Jeongguk moved closer and Taehyung sat in between his legs, all curled up, his head leaning on his chest. They were silent for a bit. Just listening to songs playing. When Get Me started playing (Justin Bieber and Kehlani), Taehyung took a deep breath, "do you want to know something?" "What is it?" Jeongguk asked. "I decided to let you go." Taehyung said. "I know, you told me remember? As DJ V to Justin." Jeongguk said, resting his chin on Taehyung's head, "and I saw your foreword revision. When I saw you as DJ V, I realized that I referred to your ex as an idiot, well, me and kind of gotten sad when you removed your dedication+ to me." "Yeah," Taehyung said. Taehyung sat up straight and looked at Jeongguk, "I don't know how to process my emotions right now, both as me and DJ V." Jeongguk just looked at him, in awe of him. "I was stupid for my inability to communicate," Taehyung said. "And I was stupid for that too. I mean I know you to be level-headed and have a reason for everything, I should have just demanded why instead of sulking like a brat." Jeongguk stated. "So, what do we do now, Jeon Jeongguk?" Taehyung asked him frankly. Jeongguk inched forward, looking at Taehyung's lips, "if I were to be asked, I want you, right here, right now. I need you 100% back in my life. How about you?" "Take things slowly still but not a day at a time anymore," Taehyung responded honestly. "Okay, that sounds good. Any chance is 6, as long as you finally know my truth." Jeongguk said, lips lightly brushing against his. Taehyung nodded and surrendered himself to the kiss, his heart and mind at peace. Jeongguk felt the same, being able to tell his truth because somehow he was able to express how he really feels and that's the most important thing of all. "Kookie?" Taehyung asked in between kisses. "Yes, Tae?" Jeongguk asked breaking the kiss. Taehyung looked at him with eyebrows furrowed, looking down thinking. "What is it?" Jeongguk asked worriedly. "You have tattoos?" And Jeongguk laughed and kissed Taehyung once again.
